About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to join our team at Polino Healthcare Ltd. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, round-the-clock care and support to our clients in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.
As a Live-in Carer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. You will be responsible for delivering personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Your key responsibilities will include:
Personal Care: Assist clients with daily personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring they feel clean, comfortable, and respected.
Mobility Support: Help clients with mobility needs, including getting in and out of bed, walking, and using mobility aids, to maintain their independence and prevent falls or injuries.
Nutritional Support: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and monitor dietary needs to ensure clients receive a balanced diet.
Medication Assistance: Administer medication according to care plans, provide reminders, and keep accurate records of all medications taken.
Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment to ensure clients' homes are safe and comfortable.
This role requires a high level of commitment, empathy, and professionalism. You will be living in the client's home and providing care on a continuous basis, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:

Nutritional Support: Prepare and serve meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and monitor dietary needs.
Medication Assistance: Administer medication according to care plans and provide reminders to clients.
Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversations and activities.
Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living environment.
Health Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs, report any health concerns to the nursing staff, and ensure the well-being of clients.
Support Services: Assist with errands, shopping, and attending appointments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and client progress.
Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
24/7 Support: Provide continuous support, ensuring clients' needs are met day and night.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a Live-in Carer or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
Education: A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and empathetic nature.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks, including lifting and supporting clients.
Training: Mandatory training in areas such as first aid, manual handling, and infection control will be provided.
Background Check: Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Availability: Flexibility to live in the client's home and provide care on a continuous basis, including weekends and holidays.
